“I don’t know where to start. I’m overwhelmed. I don’t have the time or the resources.
I just want what’s best for mom or dad…”
These worried words are all too common when it comes time to address a loved one’s transition. We’ve all seen close friends and family members go through it—the insecurity, the vulnerability, the frustration of resolving such difficult questions at such an emotionally charged time.
Lianas came about as a response to my own experiences of seeing those I care about struggling. My 25 years in senior corporate management had provided me with a powerful grasp of the service industry. I combined my empathy with these credentials (along with extensive research of the Canadian senior transition marketplace) to develop Lianas Inc.
Lianas takes a practical approach to senior transitioning. It finds highly customized solutions for residence search, downsizing, moving, realtor support, home care and more. It uses every tool at its disposal to get what’s best for you or a loved one and bear the brunt of the burden.
Who We Are
Lianas has an extensive network of professional and experienced partners that will be able to assist families as they navigate through the challenging times of having a loved one in transition.
The team is led by Matt Del Vecchio, Certified Professional Consultant on Aging (CPCA designation). He has held senior sales and marketing positions with two Canadian-based companies for 25 years.
What We Do
Lianas provides families with knowledge, resources and services that support seniors in transition. These important services might involve relocation into a senior’s residence, downsizing, moving, real estate brokers, notaries, lawyers, family mediation and more. They may even involve home care solutions if that’s what is best for the individual.
What’s in a Name?
A Lianas is a long-stemmed, woody vine that climbs high above towering trees for sunlight. There, they spread to other treetops and wrap themselves around other lianas. Lianas form bridges and create paths for animals that don’t want to cross on the ground. The network of vines supports itself against the elements and flourishes.
On a more personal note, Lianas is also an acronym of the founder’s two children and step daughter (Lisa, Anthony and Axelle).
